OK but not as good as I had hoped for.
The above choices are somewhat limiting because they are simple yes no answers whereas in reality the answers to "would I recommend it" and "is it good quality" are somewhere in between. There was no doubt it was good value in terms of low cost and the small tin because I needed less than a tablespoonful for this job.
I bought the walnut shade to even out the colour of a couple of American black walnut strips on my wading staff (fly fishing) and it did but I would like to have added a second coat but the instructions warn against it.
I understood that this dye is suitable for oil and varnish finishes but I was disappointed when I applied coats of tung oil as it pulled out some of the dye.

Only Time Will Tell
Well it arrived ok and it plugged the hole in my jacket so that's a good start. This Goretex is good stuff, it hasn't rained since I got it and I don't intend standing under the shower for the purposes of writing a review.

A Worthwhile Upgrade.
Bought as a replacement for the front brake of some Hope Mini/m4 that had IS no 8 calipers. The rear was OK but the front needed to be changed for the post mount forks I have looked for a no 9 74 M4 but could find one in decent condition at a reasonable price so I decided on this.
Before installing it I lubricated bench tested it to make sure the pistons were working; they were sticking a bit so I lubricated them. I also bled the brakes whilst still on the bench to prevent contamination of the rotors had this been done in situ. It did take quite a while to do this successfully but with everything ok I installed it on the bike and then did a long gentle downhill quiet stretch of road to bed the pads into the disc.
Although this caliper took some bleeding I am familiar with the bleeding technique on Hope and much prefer it over the Avid brakes that were on my wife's bike. The quality of Hope brakes is excellent
