Excellent value
I saw this on TV and my sister missed it, so as it was a good price (£4.99 or so) and post free, I had it sent to her and she very much enjoyed it. She is somewhat shut in so I was delighted.

Was impressed in 1974 and am sure I shall be again
I've not had time to see the video but am sure I shall enjoy it. It was one of the best BBC series of 1974.

Only very approximately following the TV series.
For some reason I was sent two copies, one hardcover and one paperback; I'd thought the first hadn't gone through, and it had, both under £4 post free, so I took the 2nd to a friend in hospital.
The plot is quite different in details from the 90's TV series which is very good indeed and which I'm watching for the 2nd time and readers should be aware of this. Not as entertaining or interesting as the TV series, unusually. And also more 'adult'. I've not finished reading the book (or watching the re-run of the TV series). Very well written though.
