The trolley still goes around.
This was the favorite ornament of our grandson in 2005. It finally stopped working so this year we decided to find another one. He is now 19 years old and was thrilled when he opened the box. Unfortunately, the first one made too much of a loud noise so Gramma ordered another one--different vendors. This one is quieter altho the music no longer plays. That was to be expected so we were not disappointed. The trolley car goes around and that's all we wanted. Our grandson is a wonderful young man who still delights in the simple things.

Wonderful history
Fascinating history of the banjo. Some sad history but necessary to understand how the banjo and its music evolved.
