Great, bluesy hard rock, I wish there were more bands like this!
I bought the CD because I remember a couple of the tracks were all over rock radio, when I was in the US about 20 years ago. I thought since I liked those tracks then, I would like more stuff from this band, so when I found out there was a "Best Of" CD, I thought I'd like to check it out. The first 6 tracks on this CD are some of the best hard rock songs I've ever heard! I was already familiar with the ballads "The Way It Is", and the classic "Love Song", but I hadn't heard them in years, and hearing them again bought memories flooding back (probably of my youth!). Then there's the hard rock power of "Modern Day Cowboy" and "Heaven's Trail", and then the "feel good" tunes like "Gettin' Better" (probably my favourite), and the bluesy feel of "Little Suzi". Truth is a lot of bands like this tend to get overlooked because of the music they play, so people judge them on their look alone, but they are missing out because this is a fine band, with great musicianship, and excellent songs! Guitarists Tommy Skeoch and Frank Hannon are both excellent, and very different players in their own right, which gives them quite a unique dynamic, than other two guitar bands, where the guitarists tend to sound exactly the same. One thing I particularly like with Tesla is their clever mix of acoustic and electric guitars, which gives the songs great "dynamics", which (as something of a musician myself) I've always thought makes great rock bands, or indeed any band stand out from the average! I'd call it (at a push) as "bluesy hard rock", but it's not that easy to classify, or put "in a box", so I think it shouldn't be. I notice that the singer Jeff Keith, though a fine singer in his own right, has a tendancy on some of the songs to sound a lot like Aerosmiths' Steve Tyler (he's obviously a big influence), and although that's not necessarily a bad thing, it does put me off some of the tracks, because if I want to listen to Aerosmith, I'll listen to Aerosmith! I like it better when Tesla "do their own thing", personally. That's not so much a criticism, as an observation. I must admit, I find myself listening to the first half of the CD more than the rest of it, but there are still a lot of tracks on it, that I need more time to listen to, to "get into them", as it were! Of the other stuff I'd say "What You Give", and the last track "Changes" kind of stand out for me. All in all, it was worth every penny for the first 6 tracks alone, so the rest is just a bonus for me!

Not up to the job!!!
It is cheap and nasty, and it doesn't work!! I've given it 1 star, because it was cheap, but it should get a "zero" really! Every time I use the screw part the other prong goes in the other direction, so it won't grip the back of the watch, so therefore it is useless! I tried many times, but it doesn't work. Just as well it was cheap, otherwise I would have wasted both my time and money!! It's not FIT FOR PURPOSE!!!

Flawed, but a good "mid price" multifunctional.
I had to get a new printer because my old one packed up after a good five and a half years (which I suppose it pretty good going!). It wasn't used that much, but I was sad to see it go because it was the best multifunction printer I ever had (Canon MP600), when it worked it was great, although a little slow on start up, and I hate having to throw things out, but it wasn't worth having it fixed because it would have cost more to repair than buying a new printer! Anyway I wanted a printer with all the same features, plus I thought "wi fi" was a good idea since I have a couple of computers, and then i knew I could use both with it. I made sure that it would be compatible with the operating systems on both my old laptop and my new desktop machines, and I wanted the CD/DVD label function I had on my old Canon machine, because it's useful, even though I don't use it that much. On first inspection, the MG5250 seems a little flimsy compared to the old one. I'm not a fan of the relatively cheap black plastic they use now, and shiny black finish is not good as it can get covered in fingerprints, really easily! It's not as heavy as my old Canon, and has a smaller "footprint", so that is definitely a plus! I can see I'll have to be careful with the door on the front as it is pretty flimsy, but I'm careful with my stuff, and I won't be using it a lot so I can live with that. The MG5250 "wi fi" feature is fairly straightforward to set up, but I had to mess around with it, to get it to see the 2 different computers. It took me a while to discover that I had to change settings on the front panel to get it to see each computer seperately, but that's probably because I have to get use to the layout of the menus and the software, and I hate looking at the manuals! I managed it eventually, and everything seems to be working fine now. Unfortunately, like my old Canon, it seems to take ages to "warm up" before it prints anything when you first turn it on. I really wish there were a way to set it up with a "quick start", but I don't think there is. "Black marks" for that, because apart from that, print quality is excellent, and the machine is pretty quiet, so I'm happy with that. The problem with all ink jet printers is the price of ink, and I know that this machine has a function where it cleans the heads everytime you use the machine, which uses up the ink more than it needs to. I'm not really happy about that, as ink is expensive, but there were extra ink cartridges in the box with this one, so I shouldn't need to buy more ink for some time yet! Anyway, I got this machine reconditioned, and it looks brand new, so all in all I'm very pleased with how it works, and the print quality, which is all important. I wanted a good "mid range" multifunctional inkjet, and all in all, I think I got what I wanted. It's looking good so far! I love to get a bargain, and I think that I got one with this machine. If it lasts me only the same time as the last one did, then I'd still be happy, especially if I could get another one at a similar price.
