An extraordinary book and a must read
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich It was my college son, who knows I appreciate the quality of Navy Seal training and their particular mind set, who recommended this book to me.
I bought it based on his recommendation.
It's an extraordinary read and was worth the purchase.
I recommend this book to anyone who has an interest in the the incredible mind set of the Navy Seals and how to incorporate that mind set.

This should be made into a movie
It is an extraordinary read.
The book goes into detail about the life of Fr Petit and how he came to be a "Blackrobe" to the Potawatami Indians.
The story is also about the "Removal"of the Indian Tribes, of Central Indiana in what is described as the "Black Stain" on the history of Indiana.
The book follows the "Trail of Tears" now renamed "The Trail of Courage" of the Indian removal from Indiana, through Illinois, Missouri, then Kansas. Mostly on foot many of the Indians were barefooted. Later in the journey it was discovered that there were several 100's of pair of shoes to be distributed to the Indians but were being help concealed in a wagon. Never enough food or water. The Government was TOTALLY unprepared for the removal as they had 2 years to prepare but did not make proper provision. Over 200 of the Indians died. Many of the Militia soldiers were disgusted by what they witnessed. Some deserted, some asked to be dismissed from duty. Some offered their horses for the really sick, young, or infirm and walked alongside the Indians. When the Indians passed through some of the towns along the trail westward, some of the locals took pity and offered food and water to the Indians.
The book is very compelling. I highly recommend the reading of this book especially high school children.
This book will have a profound affect on anyone of conscience.
