it’s a gasket
it’s the right shape, so it does what it’s supposed to do. But it is not easy to start! (what sort of ridiculous question is that?)

Excellent all round
This comes with a silicon hose which is very flexible and thin, so is not stiff like many PVC hoses and will not perish like many rubber hoses. The spring is very strong so the hose retracts fully every time (unlike some where you have to help the hose back onto the reel). My only criticism is that the inlet hose is only 1m long so you have to mount your compresser off the ground, but apart from that it is great.

Remarkably simple!
A great little product. Very easy to set up and gives easy way to play your phone into your amplifier over Bluetooth
