One of the best cookbooks ever
I actually saw this book in a store a while back and was on the fence about it just due to price. When I saw it at a discount on eBay, I bought it immediately.
It is without a doubt one of the most interesting cookbooks I've ever seen with an incredible range of recipes from different culinary cultures, including many Asian dishes that I love.

Awesome power supplies for DIY projects
Sola power supplies are great. This is the second one I've bought...I use them to create high quality regulated power supplies for audio gear that comes originally with the cheap "wall wart" power supplies of 12V, 5V, etc. It's a fun project adding the input power and output power and sometimes I'll also add things like power switch, fuse, or small digital voltmeter. The most difficult part of the project is figuring out how to enclose the rest of these power supplies which are mostly open to begin with. You can sometimes find the official "factory" enclosures on eBay but they're twice as expensive as the power supplies so I usually make my own, either out of pieces of metal or out of polycarbonate/Lexan. When making a case you make to make sure it has plenty of air flow so the unit doesn't overheat.
