This machine is capable of making good expresso. It has a learning curve simmilar to other machines in that the ballence of Coffee, Grind, Tamp, Pressure, Time, and Frothing have to be achived. The pressure guage and experience allow a quick "real" espresso (actually I drink capachino)to be made consistantly. Preperation and clean-up are easy, The virtually No-waiting time is convenient. (I turn on the machine and before I can get the milk and coffee it is ready to steam.) The pressure guage lets me monitor pressure against time so I can adjust the grind of the coffee. It is nearly as esy to make the second (or third). My only complaint is the adjustment for the pump timer seems to be very sensative in the range that I most want to control (that is 7 to 14 seconds), as a result it is difficult to set that where I want it and to fine tune it. I try to get it close and leave it alone. The frother is very good, both easy and controable. I bought it with a broken on off knob. The part is avaible on line, as are other parts. JT
