Incompatible For Win10+
This product was probably great for XP/Vista, but it requires "compatibility installation" on Win10+. After that, the letters are so small that one can't read them even after selecting "large font," because it shows the regular text in 6pt and some buttons as small as 3pt. (The minimum should be 10-12pt). The automatic registration doesn't work either, and Britannica's website doesn't answer emails about outdated versions. No technical support, no update patches for Win10+ users. Period.
PS The company that sold me this DVD did a speedy delivery and I give them 7 stars, but this DVD-Rom is a waste of time for Win10+ users. Instead, I purchased Microsoft Encarta 2002 and it works fine. No installation problems there, only the photo references are too small, but that's still bearable.

Well written--outdated topic
The book itself is very well written, but the "Y2K Global Catastrophe" sounded like a joke even then (1999/2000), when the commotion was still in the air. Yes, maybe we prevented it by giving away free "Millennium Bug" fixes to all the world over the Internet, but ... was it ever a serious threat? Or was it just common human fear, wrapped up in biblical prophecies about the end of the world? I mean, even from biblical perspective first there shall be a Millennial Kingdom of God on Earth with Messiah reigning from Jerusalem, and then the end of the planet shall come in the Last War (WW IV). Yet before that the world is supposed to survive WW III at Armageddon, so ... why even fear some Y2K Bug at all???

Nicely done!

The only problem is that its conversion to DVD is not the best; and that this is only one episode of the whole TV show (miniseries?). So, if you plan on buying it, you better find the other series as well. Makes me wonder why don't they sell them all in one DVD-set?
