Works fine. Installed and forgotten :)
"One man's trash is another man's treasure". This holds true for aging server hardware as well, especially RAM (seeing as it deteriorates very slowly, most of it is in good shape, unlike HDD's). I had two options - either order this RAM upgrade online for pennies, or purchase it for over 250$, albeit new, from my hardware supplier. I believe I made the right choice :)
