This board saves power and money
For those looking to build an essential home desktop computer it is easy to recommend the MSI 970A-G43 AM3+ AMD 970 + SB950 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard. This thing is very basic, but for for the price it is hard to beat. It's hard to say what this board does super well, but at the same time it isn't going to fail you in any major ways. It functions both in lower powered units meant for tasked computing as well as high powered gaming. With MSI's ecologically minded power saving BIOS this setup could potentially save you money on your power bill if coming from a more demanding module. Raid compatibility did seem to run into trouble on PSUs running under 850v out, but functions well enough when assigning your raid drives through your OS as opposed to the provided BIOS. If you need an AMD3+ socket board this is likely the best bang for your buck.
