Use as directed and it works very well.

A lot of people (read: miserable old men) complain that modern paint stripper is "not as good as the old stuff" Well, the "old stuff" contained dichloromethane, a highly toxic compound linked to cancer and full of VOCs that are proven to harm the ozone layer. It is dangerous to produce and very difficult to dispose of safely. It makes no sense to keep using dcm just so that some old geezer can strip paint off an old motorcycle tank or whatever. I used this on an old Triumph motorcycle frame with 40+ years old paint on it. I applied it thickly and after about 15 minutes I could see paint bubbling and wrinkling. After an hour I appliead another layer and left it further, maybe another hour. I went and did something else. Maybe, just maybe it takes a little longer. I was then able to scrape the paint off leaving bare metal behind. To finish off I washed the frame down and scrubbed the remains of paint off. So, follow the instructions and it works just fine. It smells OK too.

Ideal for the DIY mechanic

Did my first wheel build using this. Motorcycle front wheel. A success. Wheel turns smoothly on the supplied bearings. Easy to set up.
