Where
I was expecting a book that described how to write a memoir for someone who knows nothing about a memoir. It is lacking in how-to information I feel.

Step by Step and Easy to Follow
The book actually goes step by step to help you write a memoir. So many of these books tend to expect you to understand their big words and give no actual direction. I like that it goes day by day with exercises to help you get to the end where you will come up with an actual memoir.
