Perfect Poetry Choice for Children

Eloise Wilkin's illustrations are charming and sweet, perfect for small children. The choice of poems perfectly compliments the illustrations and are just the right length for the attention spans of little ones. Reading aloud is so important for developing vocabulary as young children understand language beyond their ability to speak the words. They love the repetition and rhymes and will soon be "reading" the poems along with you. I purchased this board book version for a toddler niece based on a much-loved hardcover version my son wanted to "read" every night before bedtime almost thirty years ago. It is a tried and true favorite!
