Works but will make you work.
There were some issues:
#1 this one has 3 different threaded plug holes in it that are not, i repeat not, the same size as factory. the factory plug, and the temp sender wobble in the holes when you screw them in the new one, and also you have to find another plug for the 3rd hole. I found a bolt for the 3rd plug hole and with wrapping the new bolt/sender/factory plug about 6 times with thread tape was able to use them without leaks (for now).
#2 and probably the worst thing of all is the center of rotation of the fan is not, again I repeat not, the same as factory, this one is about an inch lower than factory, meaning I had to do some major jerry rigging on the fan shroud to lower it down as well as the fan is no longer perfectly aligned with the radiator. Worse than that it changes your ability to get the belt tight because it moves the pully down an inch and you don't have quite enough adjustment with the factory alternator bracket to get the belt tight.
#3-there are four bolts in the original pump that hold it on, 3 longs and a short, on this one you need 4 longs because its made different, it doesn't utilize a short bolt. So your gonna need to go buy one of those.
In short, it will probably work on any 3tna72 engine but you're going to have to do some driving to town to get parts and do some fabricobbling together to make it right. The John Deere part I needed was 223 dollars, this one was 89. I'm willing to to go to some lengths to save some money that a lot of people wouldnt want to bother with but in this case not sure I made the right call after all the aggravation and running to town. If it said somewhere not to use it on a 3TNA72-UJ I will take this down but I didn't see that when I bought it so I don't know.

Easy, Works Perfect
Fixed problem didn't even have to turn a bolt or any use tools to install, just leaned under steering wheel quarter turn counter clockwise and unplugged wire and it was out in my hand, plugged new one in quarter turn back clockwise, now cruise works again 2 minute install.

Fit perfect, no issues
Picture shows 2 snap rings, I didn't find those in the box but also that's not what I bought it for so i didn't care, key was in it, which with the shaft was all I needed, and it fit well. All in all good product if you want the real MTD brand name part. Custom Parts has same thing on sale for 79.95 right now but I wanted OEM so I paid the premium because who knows if they use same metal and this was a much bigger job than I bargained for.
