Extend the life of the furnace
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich It is said this particular part, the pilot assembly, is failure prone. So it was on a 30-year-old furnace. The igniter was clicking and sparking after it should have been quiet. I guessed that the bimetallic element in the pilot was getting dodgy, so replaced the assembly with this one. That did the trick. The unit arrived in a Carrier plastic bag, but the bag was not sealed. The replacement pilot fit perfectly in the old spot. The job only took about 20 minutes. I'm happy.
