Worked as advertised
Worked flawlessly! I had 7 IDE drives that needed to be crypto-shredded in preparation for donation. Purchased this external enclosure, and all of the drives are now "cleaned". I donated the drives with this IDE enclosure.

Requires a pair of converters minimum to function. Works perfectly
This is a spare unit for my existing Transition Ethernet Media Converters. The unit works as designed and the 10BaseT to 10BaseFL conversion works like a charm.
Highly recommended to electrically isolate your DSL or cable modem connection to the rest of your local area network. Even though I have RJ-45 Ethernet in-line surge protectors and uninterruptable power supply (UPS) on my communication rack, the 10BaseFL provides further protection from potential ground surges via lightning strikes (which I had twice, destroying some computer equipment). And yes, I have had my entire electrical system checked by my certified electrician, and the DSL line was checked by the local telco.

works on 2000 Subaru outback limited
My OEM version that came with the vehicle 2000 finally fell apart after near daily use. So this item was a direct replacement and functions fine. A++++ for the reseller.
