Brave J-Decker Super Robot Chogokin by Bandai
This is my first dabble in Bandai's line of scaled down non-transforming super robots and I have to say I'm pleasantly surprised by the overall quality, style, and poseability of the figure. It's a ton of fun to mess around with and parts swapping for poses isn't too much of a hassle, it's almost like it was designed to be that way: a cool looking, semi-fidgety time waster. Much like people in the Transformers community laugh about the actual time it takes to transition between modes, this is pretty much in the same vein except it's more like 'what pose do I want?' and go from there. Some parts I assume are fragile but if you're a vintage toy collector you should already have decent "kid gloves" while handling it, know where the obstructions are and carefully avoid them.
The only cons I can really gripe about are the potentials lost here, i.e. the outer cardboard packaging is super thin cheap and bland for such a cool line, it was smaller than I expected, and the price point (In my opinion) should really only be around the $30-$40 mark with shipping max. There's just not enough diecast and size to justify some sellers charging $60-$100 for these things, at that price point I'm sure there are more "bang for your buck" vintage or masterpiece choices.
I hope my review helps anyone curious about trying this line for fun, at the right price I can't recommend it enough. Results may vary from character to character.
