This book doesn’t need another glowing review.

All I can say was I got the jackpot picking up a used copy- it was signed, so $4 for a signed good edition kinda made my week. If you haven’t read this book, it’s a silly, absurd, fantasy space romp. Extremely clever and compelling writing that easily keeps you reading. I got the black 42 hardcover edition, which was a lot smaller then I expected. But it was signed and looks fantastic on the shelf. I’d buy a different copy for reading though.

Stranger In a Strange Land by Robert A. Heinlein [Easton Press]

Easton is nice, but feels over rated.

Everything about this Easton Press copy is the definition of fine, nice binding, gilding etc. And, this book has very few really nice edition releases, so this is the best, probably. I’ve never held a Virginia edition though. Being among my favorite stories I wanted an exceptional copy, so I landed on this edition. That said, it’s just not that compelling of a copy beyond it’s -fine- detailing. I really wouldn’t enjoy this copy as a reader. It’s my sincerest wish that Folio Society has a release of this one day.
