Mackie CR3: Outstanding product

Musician's Friend had these on sale for $20 off (both through their own website and eBay), so I grabbed them. At any rate, I love these, my grandson has a pair in college and he loves them also. They do everything I need them to. I love that they have many input options (except optical, which would be super valuable for using them with large monitors/TVs). I found that the dual unbalanced 1/4" phono plugs give the most gain. While these are not highly accurate reference monitors or audiophile speakers, they are far superior to most computer speakers. If I needed more accuracy/volume than these, I would transition directly to JBL professional sound systems. These are the best price/performance computer speakers I have found when they are on sale.

BitFenix Spectre 120mm Blue LED Case Fan

I highly recommend the Cooler Master R4-L2R-20AC-GP fans.

This review is about the BitFenix Spectre 120mm BFF-BLF-12025B-RP case fans. The sad thing about the questions asked to rate this product is that they don't have caveats such as "if the fan is throttled down slow enough it is quiet but..." and "if all standard Molex adapters came with them..." which they don't. Here is the bottom line: IF you run them with the 4-pin Molex connectors (which you have to provide on your own, they don't come with the fans in the package), they make a low pitch hum annoying enough to buy something else fast. IF you run them with 3-pin PWM motherboard connectors they ARE quiet but didn't have enough CFM to keep my case (housing a Gigabye Z97 & Nvidia GTX 660) as cool as needed, which the Cooler Master R4-L2R-20AC-GP fans I replaced them with did (using PWM). I know noise/CFM are always a balance but I chose poorly for my case situation, which required a higher CFM. As an aside: I highly recommend the Cooler Master R4-L2R-20AC-GP fans.
