beautiful film, hampered by the disc's quality

while i'd thought it would be great seeing this beautiful film again, this 2004 dvd looks terrible on a modern tv. nothing against this seller. it's just that this film deserves the bluray treatment. here, the colors are muddy and the picture though blurry, shows resolution lines. i'd say that this transfer is 480p to 780p at best. if you're a fan of this film, you should petition the copyright owners to re-release it.
