Excellent sound quality
Owning the original album, original CD and 2008 DeLuxe remastered CD I have to say this SACD sounds impressive just on the 2.0 SACD soundtrack alone. I haven’t heard the 5.1 surround mix so I can’t comment. Other Elton John SACD’s have sounded a bit edgy to my ears but this is really much better than the GBYBR and Madman SACD’s and well worth the effort if you want a good audio on one of Elton’s finest albums....

Small but powerful....
It may only have a volume control and one stereo input but this is a serious contender in the power amp market. Don’t let the size fool you ... this delivers. I’m using it to drive Whatfdale speakers in the kitchen and the sound is crisp, clear and rich with oodles of power to spare. Classy little power indicator and blue lit volume edging give a nice feel too. It’s lack of EQ control and the one input means it’s a stunning slave amp to relay your main hi-fi (which I do) to speakers elsewhere or an excellent amp for powering your iPod, etc into a hi-fi speaker system. It’s difficult to fault this mighty atom at this price (and possibly twice this price) but if you want good power and good sound from a T-amp this is a bit of a no brainier.

Black Rose - Special Album, Special Version
This is a fabulous album from the songwriter John David Souther. Best known for his work with the Eagles and Linda Ronstadt this was his finest hour as a performer of his own songs. Musicians taking part include Ronstadt and Eagles personnel as well as David Crosby, Graham Nash, Andrew Gold and jazz luminaries Stanley Clarke and Donald Byrd.
What makes this 2018 edition so special is that it is remastered by Kevin Gray especially for this 180gm vinyl version and pressed at RTI. It's hard to find so if you see one it's worth the search.
