Great lens, but has one serious flaw

The lens takes really good photos. The problem is that the lens will not accept Lens Filters. It is advertised as a 95mm lens. Yet the 95mm lens filters are too small. They just fall through the lens hood. I tried 105mm filters and they are too big. The lens hood is permanently attached and cannot be removed. The hood is threaded for a filter, but I cannot find one to fit it.
