Amusing 50's musical classic
Considered Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer's greatest musical, this movie is a light hearted look at the movies when they transitioned from silent to sound. Gene Kelly, Donald O'Connor and Debbie Reynolds work well together and Reynolds, who had no previous dance experience performed remarkedly well. Several memorable songs and jabs at the egos of stars round out the story of Hollywood as it enters it's second golden age.
