Real African adventure
A great book covering Peterson's experiences in Africa, including the famous incident at Tsavo. A great read for anyone interested in that period of history of Africa.

Should not have been called Starship Troopers
2 von 6 finden das hilfreich This movie would have been a half decent summer scifi action flick. I was excited to hear that they were making a Starship Troopers movie. The cast seemed OK, and the concept art looked alright. Then the other details came out... no mobile armor suits, a love triangle, and the Arachnids are just really big bugs. The effects are pretty and all that, but almost none... no wait... none of the story of the book is really seen. It boils down to just using some names from the book and making a gory scifi action movie. But it's not worthy of the title. They could have called it Bug Wars or something else, but it's no Starship Troopers. Do yourself a favor and read the book instead of watching this flick.

One of the best Battletech books.
A great book that starts an exciting trilogy of a major turning point in the Battletech univere. Invaders from outside known space threaten the entire Inner Sphere, and the Great Houses, who have been warring for centuries, have to learn to work together to beat them. This book covers the first part of the invasion and the initial attempts and the Houses to work together.
