Awesome book
Good book. leeds then were a powerhouse in the league and in europe. What I've read so far is good and unbiased account by David O'Leary. It's interesting me because I also have got the Chairman who was also a novice chairman and if you read it and that's pretty scathing of O'Leary in the transfer dealings. But these are things about David's character that you don't see like allManager's were then involved intransfers you need to get value. Ultimately Leeds got the bestof the best, but in the long term it proved disastrous strategy. This book covers all the seasons ups,decisions for transfers, and dealing with terrible incidents behind the scenes. Like I say I read the Chairman's book and he's blaming the Manager. In the end the ffinal chapter of Leeds glorious voyages inEurope might seem like great success but O'Leary and Peter Ridsdale later were fired but not about that in this book its about the trial of the footballers at Leeds. I have to say O'Leary is very likeable in this book, and if you want to know about David O'Leary and gain more of an insight into his frame of mind read this one after Peter Ridsdales. They complement each other better than Clough versus Revie book.
