NEW Front Set Shocks Struts Fits 1996-2000 Dodge Grand Caravan 71964

Don't buy the bare strut - buy the whole strut assembly

If I ever needed to replace front struts for my Dodge Grand Caravan again, I would rather order the whole strut assembly, complete with the spring. I made the mistake of ordering the bare strut, and I had a very very difficult time fitting the old spring into the new bare strut. Two spring compressors won't do, and I finally had to buy another pair of compressors (total of 4 spring compressors for the job), and even then I had to improvise to get the tough old s.o.b. spring to adequately compress to fit into the strut and to screw in the nut. The whole strut assembly costs only a bit more than the bare strut; but believe me, it is worth it.
