Like a Tank

This baby is built like a Panther Tank. It's heavy, it's big, it's sharp as a tack from 28 all the way up, fantastic bokeh if you're into that plus DOF from now to now turned up. I've dropped it (with caps on) 2x onto cement sidewalks and 400 meter clay tracks over the years and she's been manhandled, shaken, unscrewed and tossed around by East German, Turkish, Saudi, Nigerian, Hungarian, Romanian and Thai Border Guards and baby still works just fine. I'd say it's one of the best "walking around the city" lenses ever made.

One of the Great Lenses

It's true. There is no autofocus, no AE, no VR, just a beautifully engineered piece of glass. captures incredible mood, candlelight, firelight, sunset/rise etc.
