Lightweight and "alive"
Designed for work. This Imacasa is light and efficient for big jobs. I cleared an acre of dense, tangled foliage on a hot humid day. It was like slicing up a big head of lettuce! I liked it better than my Tramontina, Martindale and Ontario machetes.
I took my time filing and honing a 15 degree cutting edge which worked well. If in doubt about sharpening this machete, there are you-tube videos out there to help.

More capacity
Easier to transport more water from the source for filtering at camp site. Less trips to the water source for cooking or just to fill water bottles or bladders.
