Good example of 1960s SciFi.
Great science fiction... maybe a little heavy on rationalizing the science part. I skimmed a lot of the expository. But still, a fun read.

Love this. It's perfect for my needs -- but it's very a specific shoe.
I've never run in a shoe like this. It is a very soft shoe... but also springy in a "strong springy way". It feels like it is literally pushing you forward as you run. If you are running slowly or jogging, it's just a soft shoe. But if you run faster it pushes you forward more.
But keep in mind that a springy shoe doesn't provide much side-to-side support. Stay running in a straight line, on a sidewalk or a road, and it's the best. But if the surface is uneven or you step off the sidewalk onto the grass and there is a risk of twisting your ankle. You have to go slow around turns, too.
This style is discontinued so I bought 4 extra pairs. For fast running its the most amazing thing I've ever felt.

Fast and accurate!
It's very well-made. Actually looks better than the picture. The ticking is noticeable and maybe a little louder than expected.
