Much bigger than you think
There is no way this should be described as a fine needle. The needle is about 7mm diameter and about 15cm long. This is a very sturdy and well made piece of equipment that is probably designed for heavy machinery. It has a grease nipple at one end which will fit in any standard grease gun and gives a very fine bead of grease ( 1mm thick) out the pointed end.
I needed a needle about 2mm diameter and I discovered that a needle inflator such as used in rugby and footballs with a standard adapter will fit into a grease gun and do the job I required.

Only lasted 6 weeks
The switch failed after only 6 weeks in it has to be turned too many times to get anything to happen.
