a jewel of a compass

It is exactly as advertised. A small, nicely made working compass. I bought it to go with my sextant by the same company. I had difficulty determining its size. I measured it at 1 3/4 inches across by 1/2 inch deep. I'm glad I bought it .

Corgi History

I am really into the early years of WWII (1939-43), and Corgi does an excellent job of producing aircraft of that era, especially commonly used aircraft in unusual roles / paint schemes. A PRU Blue Recon Hurricane? Really? Had to have one, glad I bought it.

Nose Art Surprise

The P-40 model is up to the usual Corgi high standard. I was pleasantly surprised by the nose art cowling. I had thought it was a gimmicky (plastic) extra that added to the cost. The quality of the cowling is worthy as a (hefty) diecast model in its own right. I will be looking to get more in the future.
