Quicksilver Messenger Service debut album
2 von 2 finden das hilfreich The music is not terrible. It’s great. The remastering on this CD is terrible. This would get five stars, otherwise. I’m giving it three stars because I love the music. Culture Factory has very good intentions, but they messed this one up bad. In fact, they messed up all the QMS reissues. They’re all super loud and over compressed. Look for an original Capitol Records CD from the late 80s or any of the Japanese imports. Those all sound great. Of course, there’s original vinyl. That’s a great way to go, too. Long live John Cipollina!

Jimi Hendrix - Band Of Gypsys
This CD is the one to get, if possible. It sounds so much like the clean original vinyl copy I have. There’s no unnecessary compression, denoising and loudness war remastering going on here. If one really cares about sound quality, get this.

Magnavox phono catridge
This phono cartridge sounds great. It will track very well with no more than two grams of pressure. It’s installed in a Magnavox Astro Sonic console stereo with the original turntable from 1969. It’s a near 50 year old console and the turntable sounds great, again. These very rarely come up for sale on Ebay or anywhere else. If one needs a replacement, get it when they come up for sale. Highly recommended.
