Great idea, not necessarily easy to install
The instructions make it sound like the strips lock together allowing a person to make a long strip. That's not the case. They have to be individually placed which can be an issue if access to a gutter is blocked. I have not been able to install them yet, but it looks like they would definitely do the job if I could get them where they need to go.
