Easy to use
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich I have an online store where I sell the barn wood furniture and cornices I make. Barn wood is a mixture of different wood species with different densities and irregular thickness, so having a decent planer is a necessity. This Porter Cable planer is extremely simple to set up and use. I have planed close to 300 feet so far, with great results. My first few boards, I had a slight problem with snipe at the end, but I quickly learned that I needed to adjust out feed.
Works perfectly!

Terrible
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich Not refurbished, just broke. So, believing I'd gotten a great deal, I was thrilled when this compressor finally arrived.
With a big smile on my face I opened the box, plugged it in,
then flipped the switch.
...and nothing.
Being a stationary engineer, I routinely fix
equipment, so I wasn't too discouraged, and
decided to take it upon myself to investigate the problem.
The first thing I noticed was the fuse was
burnt. So, I replaced the fuse, hoping it was
just weak. Nope. Eventually, after isolating
the motor, (and wasting way more time than
I should have) , I found stator and core were
misaligned. (BAD MOTOR) Just Junk. NEVER
AGAIN!!

Where do I start?
Very different to adjust. Once adjusted to needed width, constantly come out of adjustment.
...and makes an irregular, not square groove.
Waste of money.
