Local blues artist offers up interesting but uneven CD.
Frank Lynch was a long-time staple on the Greater Cincinnati / Northern Ky. blues scene and this 2004 CD is his lone recorded effort that I am aware of other than a 3 track cassette - only release that was mostly used to get gigs. Frank is no longer with us so this will be his recording legacy. It is a solid disc and very representative of all the facets of Frank's blues spectrum from acoustic pairings to electric blues and even a bit more guitar oriented rocking blues. The only drawback I see is the possibility that someone unfamiliar with Frank's music might consider it uneven. With a mixture of styles and approaches, tracks from 6 different groups, and both live and studio tracks it may leave some folks confused. If one would look at it as an artist progressing and growing at his craft, as a chronological history of his musical journey it should serve as a fine listen and a strong release. It certainly shows all the facets of this too little-known bluesman. Frank passed away in 2012 and I'm glad he was able to get this released for all those of us who remember him and his music to have a chance to relive the blues done his way. Well done Frank. You DID come a long way to get here. I'd rate it a 4 out of 5 stars but I'm prejudiced so … I gave it 3 out of 5 trying to look at it as if I was hearing him for the first time with no prior knowledge.

High quality at a low price.
2 von 2 finden das hilfreich The Verbatim blank media seems to be as good as any on the market and yet the price is in line with or in many cases lower than others available. I've used several brands over the years and believe Verbatim gives a high quality disc without any defective burns and that plus a fair price is all you can ask of this product.

Great quality at a great price.
The Verbatim AZO DVD-R 100 pack is an outstanding buy. It offers archival quality for your movie collection at a price of less than a quarter per disc. That is pretty much all you can ask for from a blank DVD. I've had only 2 defective discs and I have gone through hundreds of these. No other brand I've used has that low a failure rate. I would point out the negatives if there were any but I haven't found one yet.
