Good quality mounting point for bar end mirrors, but didn't suit my needs
The items themselves seem fine for what they are, and certainly appear to be high quality. However, they are a bit expensive for what you get, and didn't suit my purpose for two reasons:
1. These are replacing stock bar end weights, which serve to help dampen vibration. However, the Highsider handlebar ends are only about 50g - my stock bar end weights are about 5 times that weight. So they won't be effective at reducing vibration.
2. I expected the 1" diameter to be the narrower part of the bar end, which would move my mirrors out by about 1cm from the grip ends, which was part of my goal (so the mirrors don't crowd my fingers). However, the 1" part is the innermost, raised part, which brings the mirrors in closer than I need.
So if you don't need bar end weights, and you're happy with the mirror being mounted right up against the grip, these handlebar ends seem good quality and should serve you well. But unfortunately they don't suit my needs.
