Large for a plug-in device
The only downside is that this device plugs directly into a 13A main socket and is somewhat wider than a normal plug, If you were planning to use a multi-way extension socket, you main find that you can't plug anything into the socket next to it.
I used it for an FM radio rather than a TV, and it works fine.

Way Too Much Plastic
I bought this to replace an internally mounted brush-style excluder that had been damaged by bulky post. I didn't need anything for the outside, but would have been prepared to replace the exiting letter box if this product had looked the part. Sadly, it didn't. Way too much plastic with a brass-like layer on the outside. I would have expected better from a company like Yale. Instead, all the design effort has been expended on designing a product that is cheap to manufacture, at the expense of durability.
All the other fittings on my period door are solid brass. This certainly isn't.
I discarded the outer part and hacksawed off the plastic tube on the inner part. I then drilled out the blocked off mounting holes and screwed the remainder to the inside of the door.
I would expect the existing the existing metal letterbox to outlast this product by far.
