The switch arrived in parts, with no instructions for assembly.

Good elasticity. Too soon to assess durability.
Although my jerry nozzle has a profile rather different from the washer shown in the ebay diagram, the washer fitted fine. It is reasonably elastic and was easy to manoeuvre into position. Of course, it too soon to say just how durable the washer will be.
