When its time to replace a Plastic Ignition Switch
This new product was an exact replacement for the 16 year old ignition switch. The difference being that this new ignition switch performed like new. Where as the old switch was worn out. It is financially easier to maintain equipment in some cases than it is to replace them. I hope there is always an after market or New Parts for Old Equipment Market for a long time. Finally, just how much service do you expect to receive from a plastic ignition switch?

You can not expect to use some item or equipment indefinitely. Eventually it will break down or wear out.
An improvement over the original switch that came with the boat. Replacing the switch was a move that more than met my expectations. It proves the idea that even the most dependable original equipment wears out in spite of ones preconceived notions of the matter. IE, "it worked fine yesterday".

It is as good as the original product that came from the dealership.
Reasonably priced. Works.
