A vintaged OS (Windows XP/VISTA/7 compatible, Apple OS) twin-HDDs RAID-type (RAID-0 2TB or RAID-1 1TB Secured Mirror Data) external NETWORKED HDD storage, connected via RJ45 LAN cable 10/100/1000Mbps (CAT5/CAT5e, CAT6, CAT6a cable). Recommended for practical computer literate and advanced users, this item has a customized/tailored internet browser setup for HDD data application (anticipation towards practical performance and data recovery situations should one HDD fail). JAVA-built monitoring and maintenance computer software application (RAIDar) also applicable. The internal memory RAM can also be upgraded from 256MB to 1GB (PC3200U DDR1 SODIMM CL2.5 compatible type RAM.) However, retain the original memory RAM unit when replacing the 2x1TB HDDs and setting up anew (you may need to swap the memory RAM solely for this setup purpose - then once setup is successful, to swap them back for 1GB usage.) Using 1GB memory RAM in PC3200U CL2.5 or CL3 type assures memory access speed is +900-1000Mb/s.
