BLOOD DIAMONDS AND GENERAL BUTT NAKED
The photo is not the edition that I received (instead I got a paperback reprint).
The book is probably the only book to tackle the horrific subject matter of the 1st Liberian War --it isn't exactly pleasurable reading. However, it's relatively obscure now and considered authoritative among most academic historians--although many people disagree with some of the author's underlying themes (for example, the role of faith in creating this genocidal chaos). I recommend the book to anyone who is interested in better understanding the history of West Africa ver the past 30 yeas.
