Cork rubber slip mat is the way to go!
My original was the stock felt pad that collects everything dust and, dog hair. The cork rubber mat is easy to clean and, maintain.

File storage can be a less expensive way to go!
If you're looking for media storage these are half the price of the ones labeled media storage. They aren't as heavy duty as old milk crates but, the definently do the job.
