Not quite an Ed Wood movie, but close.
It's so bad, it's (almost) good. Saved somewhat by the magnificent Joan Collins. Otherwise a rather cheesy product.

Director Brian de Palma uses Hitchcock-type tools (long shots with no dialogue) to build tension that erupts in a horrific murder reminiscent of "Psycho"). After all these years (from 1960), its shocking climax still work today.

Haunting; mysterious; a perfect of romantic film
This is one of my favorite fantasy films. The stark black & white; the glorious music of Debussy; the transformation of Jenny from child to woman; the setting in New York; all add up to a masterpiece.
