The kinks are to London what the Beatles are to Liverpool
The links are the best group. I don't know why they are the 'Beatles' of London. Whilst I love the Beatles, and love the songs, they are mostly ideals. The Kinks are everyday life. My life. My family's life.
It's a shame the brothers have such a love hate relationship. But listen to the music, it's London life.
Well maybe not today anymore, but it's as brilliant a diction as Chas and Dave were on lo don't life, laughter, happiness, love and experience.

It's all a laugh, stop taking it serious
What more could ya want. Lovely London folk, aving a laff. More north London than South (David Jason is from north London) and despite what political correctness says, ya still need a passport to get to South London. Only joking my pedigree chums, its good for morale lol! Stop taking everything thing do seriously and getting offended, have a laugh like we did in the 70s and 80s. And yes we did! It weren't all Jimmy Saville whatever ya think.
