Specialty bit to fit your needs
Although i did not use this bit to make raised panels, i needed a similar long shallow profile to change the outside edges of some old cabinet doors. All the box stores seem to carry are circular radius bits. This bit fit my needs well, and was decently priced (about the same total price as others on ebay). Performed well through 12 cabinet doors. The only modification needed was to the base plate of my handheld router - the bit is much too wide at 2" to clear the default opening. The base plate was plastic, and available at lowes online, so i just purchased a second plate and milled it out larger. Router bit itself was great!

Cool, helpful tool in snow arsenal
This is a cool product that others will notice. It certainly functions and is sturdy. The plastic is very thick and soild. This is NOT box store snow shovel type plastic. It can be a bit hard to wield, because of the width of the blade and the double handle. It is a different technique than a standard shovel, and takes some getting used to. The manplow name really says it all - this is almost strictly used as a pushing plow. The handle makes it difficult to lift and throw even a small amount. You basically have to use your stomach as leverage. Use this shovel to clear the majority of large areas, then clean up edges with a normal shovel that allows you to throw the snow. With the manplow, try starting right down the middle of your driveway, and then push at an angle, (like the plows do on the street) to push each pass towards the edges. It goes very quick in light and moderate snows. It can get stuck when you build up too big of a pile. A technique for heavier snow is to push straight without trying to overlap what is already clear - meaning leave little windrows between each pass and only push through new snow - this can help avoid build up.
My only true complaint is the angle of the blade. The way its shaped makes a significant portion of the blade nearly flat to the driveway. Even the edges of the handle supports get scraped sometimes. You will not be pushing it in a high angle position as shown in the picture. Not a huge deal, but i like the angle of my standard shovel better. Another disadvantage of the low angle is dificulty in adding a wear strip. Even as thick as this is - i do not trust plastic against concrete or asphalt - it will just ruin the edge. I replace metal wear blades on my standard shovel with pop rivets. I tried install a metal wear blade to the edge of the manplow using pop rivets, and the heads were scrapped off within one use. I ended up going with something like a wide button or binding head screw, and have them slightly countersunk into the plastic. Yes the screw heads still scrape the ground, but they are much thicker and more solid than a pop rivet - so they will hold up a long time before wearing the heads off.
Finally the manplow seems a tad bit expensive for what it is. I understand its a smaller specialty company. It works well and is a cool tool so i still think its a decent value, and worth the price.
