Absolutely the best.
It's so quiet I don't have to yell or turn up everything else to hear. I play video games and use Team Speak. My wife and I have a 36" tv between our desks, and if the old A/C unit was on, we had to turn up speakers, microphones, tv volume, everything just to drown it out. This unit is silent, or nearly so. With the economy mode set, it works like a normal central system. When it runs, it makes about the same amount of noise as a refrigerator. As soon as it reaches the temp I choose, it shuts off. It blows the air upwards so you don't get blasted with cold air, and by going up it works better by cooling all of the room, not just the part that's 3 feet high or below.
Best choice I've made in years.
