Lensbaby 3G 50mm f/2 Lens For Nikon SLR Canon prime swing tilt shift
22. Apr 2018
Interesting Device. NOT an everyday go-to though.
Let's start off by saying, this is a trick lens. You can do some interesting in camera things BUT seriously, you can do more controlled, and usuable things post production with even simple photo editors. Lensbaby's were more designed for the film photog to get some "Twilight Zone"-type effects with still objects. I've not seen too many examples of it being used on a DSLR doing cinema work BUT am going to try it. It's WELL-contructed however for being basically a couple of metal rings, 3-long set screws, and a piece of plastic flexible tube with a single element lens in it. I own the Canon-mount version of the original Lensbaby 2.0 where you just had to use your index and ring finger to manipulate images on the fly. Some folks claim the original is actually more creative. (Perhaps use that one for cinema on a M4/3rd). The aperture discs and magnetic removal tool are so simple to be INGENIOUS but they're basically very THIN Flat Washers with different diameter holes in them. AND Kudos to Lensbaby for their aperture storage compartment in the base of the magnetic tool, which is sealed with get this, a recycled 35 mm film "can cap". I only payed just shy of 28 bux for my Nikon mount Lensbaby. I think I paid 10 or 11 for the Canon Lensbaby 2.0 with only one aperture disc. SO, for less than 40, I have two of these. The outrageous list price you pay new for these is NOT for what you got, BUT for the THINKING behind what you got!. My major criticisms of Lensbaby are this. They should've made these more people friendly by offering the kit for T-mount. It is VERY difficult to find a Canon FD or EF mount to Nikon F that isn't 40 bux or more. Second, if you want an "ART LENS", don't pay retail for one of these. Get a Sigma 30 mm OR some LOMO lens. (That's why I love M 4/3rd!..Anything and EVERYTHING is readily adaptable). Third, reiterrating my original point. Sit down and LEARN a good post-production editor. I got a deal at 28 bux some will say, BUT other than saying it's "off the bucket list", even THAT much is a total waste if it sits from now on in "that bucket" gathering dust..

Great Deal!
Excellent deal. Was the easiest thing to port my brother's number from another Verizon-style MVNO to this. I can't honestly say IF the coverage is "better" or superior to the virtual phone companies BUT so far so good. Time will tell if there's any REAL difference as well between Verizon Post-Paid and their Pre-paid.
For Canon FD Mount to Micro Olympus Panasonic Camera Lens Adapter Ring FD-M4/3

Works good with Canon 50mm F1.8 BUT focuses a little "beyond" infinity.
The mount is sturdy. Took awhile to get it from China, BUT for the price, it was okay. Seems sturdy. Take great pictures EXCEPT the focus is just slightly "beyond" infinity. I know, that sounds weird BUT that's about the only way to describe it. Hard to beat a clean, Canon 50mm F1.8 lens UNLESS you can find a 1.4 OR the rare 1.2. . Easy to use the Aperture Ring. Manual ofcourse on both F-stop and focus. I'm happy...
