Nightrunners of Bengal by Masters, John Hardback Book The Fast Free Shipping

The best novel about the 19th-century British Raj.
This is the second time I've bought this book and shall it read it shortly. I read it about 35 years ago. What sticks in my mind is its convincing evocation of the 19th-century British life in and perception of India. I found this story more persuasive and engrossing than another well written novel I've seen compared with it, The Siege of Krishnapur, by J. G. Farrell. Masters, of course, was born and raised in India and was the fifth generation of his family to serve in the Indian Army. He well understood India, the Indian Army and war. And he was a talented writer.

The adapter Creative should have provided originally.
It works and does not fall apart like the original.

One of the Two Best on Gettysburg
The focus of Coddington's account is on the operational acts of the commanders involved. It is a very good, comprehensive history of the military campaign. It and Guelzo's Gettysburg are the two best single-volume works on the subject, and they complement each other to some extent.
