Works great. Just be sure to get the original splined shaft end very hot...it has to melt its way down onto the shaft, then when it cools, it holds tightly.

This is far above previous ones I've had...solid!
Ok, I'm officially impressed with the solid build quality of this portable stand! I've had similar rigs from years back that were sort of cheesy, very light duty. This one is far above the older ones I had, and it does a fine job. Much heavier construction and stability than any I've tried before. Just started using it, but it seems to work great.
